As the fireworks light up the sky this 4th of July, I want to shine a spotlight on our health care heroes. Their dedication to healing and caring for our community mirrors the spirit of those who fought for our nation's independence.

The tireless efforts of nurses, providers and hospital staff give us countless reasons to celebrate freedom – not just today but every day. The compassion and resilience they display are the cornerstones of our liberty to live healthy and fulfilling lives.

Let's take pride in our collective achievements and remember that our unity is our strength, just as it was for our nation's founders. May this Independence Day be a reminder of the values we cherish and the bonds that hold us together.

Meet the Leader

Chris Bredeson, MBA, FACHE

Chris Bredeson oversees all facets of health care services and operations, the EvergreenHealth Medical Group and strategic planning for the EvergreenHealth system. A Pacific Northwest native, Bredeson has dedicated his entire career to health care, serving in leadership positions since 1994. Before joining EvergreenHealth in December 2019, he was president and COO of MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. Prior to that, he was an administrator for the MultiCare Regional Cancer Center & Oncology service line.
