It's International Data Privacy Week

The earliest known use of the noun privacy is in the mid-1500s, according to the Oxford English Dictionary (OED). As recently as the 1800s, when the OED was taking shape, privacy meant the state of being apart from others or being concealed from their view. It also meant the freedom from unauthorized intrusion into one's private life.
In observance of International Data Privacy Week, Jan. 27 through 31, EvergreenHealth's Privacy Program would like to thank all EvergreenHealth staff members for their hard work and dedication in protecting patient privacy. When we follow our established policies and reporting protocols, we're working together to ensure the protection of patient data, to shield people from unauthorized intrusion, and to enrich the health and well-being of every life we touch.
